BOSS™ HISTORY

The BOSS™ brand was born in 1907, when our first product, the BOSS™ steam separator, was launched through BSS. Today the brand is synonymous with quality and is well known for its wide range of heating and plumbing products.

Perhaps the brand is best known for its iconic BOSS White™ pipe jointing compound. As soon as it appeared on the shelves in 1916, BOSS™ became established at the forefront of the market.

Throughout the twentieth century the brand’s reputation for quality and reliability grew, and these values are still at the heart of everything we do. By 1990 BOSS™ offered over one thousand products, including a wide range of valves, fittings, consumables and pumps.

Now, twenty-five years on, over five thousand BOSS™ products are sold via several different businesses within the Travis Perkins Group.

Our long-term success has been built on a solid reputation for the quality and value of our products. Customers know our name; now we ensure the brand continues to meet and exceed their expectations.
